Bat-Sack

In the streets of Goth-sack city, crime runs rampant for all potato sacks. However, when the commissioner Gord-sack turns on the sack-signal, Bat-sack comes to the rescue. The only problem is that he is on a different rooftop and all of his gadgets are failing. The Sackling hook rips off his belt, his cape doesn't open all the way, and eventually he just gets a ladder and walks across to the commissioner.
He was slightly aggrivated at the loss of his pride, but the Bat-sack always prevails.

Interactive Website Research

By looking through various websites I've found that websites concerning visuals depicted through drawn images appeal to me more than others. Olla Lialina's "My boyfriend came back from the war" was one that was both powerful and easy to navigate. It used dividers and didn't switch around too much. By clicking on more and more links the story was furthered as each section divided.

Zombie and Mummy is a humorous collection of comics with a different showing page for each strip and the page usually involves some sort of interactive activity. I'm much more familiar with comics and imagery concerning panels. I'm also a huge fan of humor so this website appealed to me as well.

In conclusion I'd like to create an interactive story somehow connecting panels and telling stories without changing the layout too much.

ARTC: 321 -Music Set to Animation

While I do not have a saved copy of this past Op-Art work, I do feel that with my current skills that it would be fairly easy to recreate. Using the triangles and the checkerboard background I could easily keep the animation mostly Op-art Oriented.
I've done a few songs using the Garageband music application already and I believe that I have a song that could be used for such a piece. It would be a mostly electronic song, so there would be color changes that would go brighter with the movable objects and perhaps call for the background to change to a darker contrast to bring out the brighter moving objects.

(edit)

This is the actual op art piece that I will use for my animation.

Website Research For ARTC 331

http://www.double-whammy.com/

I reviewed Steve Double's Site first and I was very impressed. He gives you no instruction, just a small box of smaller boxes in the lower left corner and you can look at all of those to view the different works that he's done for celebrities and important businessmen. It was simple and yet the first site to grab my attention and keep it held.

http://www.urbansoldierz.com/

This was a good site in terms of creativity, "Urban Soilderz" that is. I was immediately drawn in by the loading screen, which was a TNT detonator slowly falling downwards. The entire feel of the site is a rust covered industrial sort of look that showcases graffiti. I was having a good time watching their efficient loading screens and downloading wasn't cumbersome either. However, they use a system where one cannot scroll to get where they are going. One has to position their mouse in a direction that one wishes to go. While scrolling can be seen as bothersome, this site made it difficult to get back to my default position without overshooting my mark. I quickly became fed up.

http://www.freakyfacets.com/site.html

There was an enter screen, then a full page screen... then there was an iconic robot, when I clicked the robot I went into the real website and the gallery blew me away. Small thumbnails with excellent works of art to blow one away. This is an excellent use of having a sort of "host" for the website. The robot guides you around and I feel that he does not detract from any of the pieces. This is the type of website that I would like to emulate, best.

Maya Project 2 idea

The new picture will involve a ginat lung centered in the middle of a room, held up by eight cigarettes. There is an ahtray in front of the lung structure and four pipe/trees surround the tree as well. The cigarettes will have vein like structures branching off of them and connecting to each other, stretching over the lung, going into the ashtray in the center of the room, and also connecting to the tree/pipe on the far right. all items touched by the veins will have a rust texture over them, and the other objects will have a water texture over them. This is supposed to respresent how cigarettes can turn the body into an ineffictient machine.
